Another Trip to the Dutch shopping paradise required
Panic on a Sunday morning: stepping out the shower and discover the favorite hair gunge gone :o( And this reminds me: Wanted to write about my fav shop long ago. It’s called HEMA. Stands for “Hollandse Eenheids Maatschappij“ – “dutch entity association”. While seeing my family in NL, I often spend all the money still in my pockets after the visit to my regular comic-dealer there. It’s like a mixture between Ikea, Butlers and Aldi but more stylish. Regularly they proclaim a design competition for their products – best to see at the drugstore stuff. Wouldn’t that be a good Idea for any drugstore shop in Germany? Letting young design-students choose the store-labels they all have and produce?
Or look at this – it’s kind of Legostyle toy. Anf this one - doesn’t it look like been made and bought for and from the Mauerpark-Fleemarket?
Okay, and now you know, why I’m always broke, coming back to Germany – I’m definitely a “Spielkind”!!
